The single family housing sector has seen substantial changes during the last few decades – traditional massive clay brick buildings are being challenged by an attractive alternative: the latch wood construction. Despite the high living standard provided by a traditional massive brick building, many families now opt for industrial prefabrication for cost and timescale reasons.

Despite of various attempts during the 1920’s to manufacture massive brick buildings using machine production techniques, they never went beyond part-automated prefabrication within the confines of the factory plant – which negates any advantages to the customer.

The Brick Revolution

Full automation represents, without a doubt, a revolution within the construction industry. Therefore, we have spent 3 years investing into research and development in collaboration with a US technology group of companies developing a unique dry adhesive technique applied during the prefabrication of brick walls. The objective was to be able to erect the complete shell of an individual brick house within a matter of a few hours – to a consistently high quality typical of an automated prefabrication method..
