KIELSTEG is an innovative and patented construction element made in Austria. The KIELSTEGelement is a high strength module consisting of trimmed timber top and bottom belt with plywood or OSB web. The characteristic curve of the webs - like the keels of boats – creates the very high stability and is also the source of its name. This technology allows span lengths up to 30 meters (100 ft).

Installation is much quicker than traditionally built masonry and to a higher quality standard. It’s ideal for use as a durable, decorative and thermal insulating finish to external vertical walls.

Large span lengths, efficient material use, industrial prefabrication and high assembly performance make KIELSTEGelements an economically competitive alternative. Its rib design allows a very efficient use of the natural resource timber. Compared to traditional board-shaped timber elements, material saving amounts up to 70% thus providing an excellent weight to stability ratio.
